Disappointing results.

We have all been disappointed with results relating to many things in this life. From our own lives to varying situations – we all seek to obtain – good results. And yet, many times, disappointment comes in.

The key to overcoming the matter of disappointing results – is to stop seeking results. Rather than seeking results, our first priority ought to always be seeking a relationship with God. Isn’t it an extraordinary reality that in a world with such complex problems, people are more and more leaving God out of the conversation. When in every instance the wisdom of God can answer, guide, direct, instruct, and help, perfectly, in each circumstance and dilemma, He is woefully ignored and summarily dismissed. What a tragedy! And yet, people wonder why the results we are getting are so terrifyingly horrendous. From the economy, to human relationships, drug addiction and trafficking, alcoholism, violence, politics, etc.

‘But seek first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.’ [Matthew 6:33].

Without doubt, in addition to many of the supernatural gifts and graces of the Holy Spirit that this scripture is referring to, getting “good results” is certainly among them. If you desire to obtain good, enduring, and positive results in your life, living a life without a relationship with God will certainly throw a major wrench in the spokes of that desire. But just the opposite will be true as you seek the Lord. He will bless and guide you, supernaturally assist you, and bring results that could never be obtained by living a life without Him.

‘For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.’ [Joshua 1:8]
