Jesus told us that life has an enemy:

‘The thief comes only to kill, steal, and destroy, but I have come that they may have life, and have it more abundantly.’ [John 10:10]

Part of the abundant life that Jesus was referring to was enjoying the great blessing of time with family, friends and loved ones. 

He was speaking of the immeasurable abundance of living the life of faith, with an awareness of His unfailing love and constant presence. 

God never wastes time and He teaches us to never waste it either. The result is the gathering and enjoyment of blessings and memories, and the eliminating of regrets.
