Proverbs 12:15 says: “The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but he that hearkens unto counsel is wise.”
Sadly, we see the great fall of people in human history who thought that rejecting God, and going their own way, would lead to fame, power, success and freedom from all rules or authority.
Yet, the one who desires and seeks the counsel of wisdom builds a life on the steadfast and un-moveable rock of Jesus Christ!
