One day a rich young man came to Jesus and asked him a question about eternal life. Jesus answered him and gave him an assignment that he wanted him to carry out.

Tragically, the rich young man was unwilling to obey the Lord and he walked away sad.

Now Jesus could have flattered him, or said nice things to him, to win him over. Perhaps even gain support for His Ministry.

But Jesus loved him so much he had to tell him the truth – even if that truth turned the young man away from him.

Sometimes, the Truth hurts.
