Have you ever noticed about children –for the most part – they’re always happy. Why is that? Well, there are of course many reasons, but here’s a good one: Children are happy because they don’t have a file in their minds called: ‘All the things that can go wrong.’
I love that!
Of course we learn as adults to be careful, and cautious. And we should be. In fact, God instructs us in His word to be careful in this life, to not be in a hurry or do things, or make decisions out of emotional impulse or haste. He teaches us to ‘consider our ways’, to ‘count the cost’ and to ‘plan with many counselors’. But He also teaches us about the great joy and blessing of childlike faith and childlike hearts. God does not want us hung up on, or constantly weighed down by, the potential things that might, or could go wrong, and forget about the joy and blessing of life and living.
Jesus taught us that we can’t even see or comprehend Heaven unless we become like the little children. [see Matthew 18:2-3].
‘With God, more joy and less worry is the key’ Share on XGod’s great eternal wisdom is always available to us for making decisions, the small ones and the big ones in this life. As we seek Him and serve Him, He will help us to grow and mature and live lives that please Him, represent balance, and bring glory to His name. But God also wants us to know that His eternal joy, and strength, are daily and equally available to us, in order to enjoy the great blessing and gift of this precious life that He has given to everyone of us.
Things may and will go wrong from time to time in life. It is just that – life. However, with God, less worry and more joy is the key!
‘Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself..’ [Matthew 6:34 / see Matthew 6:25-34].
