“Think On These Things” B101.5FM Radio Message 4/20/17

Many of us do, and try, different things for physical strength. From workouts, to diet, to vitamins. These things also include a desire for mental strength and endurance as well. Some of these approaches are productive, while some have proven to be quite unproductive, even counter productive, over the years. To go into the amount of money spent on the things that just simply ‘do not’ work would be sad, tragic, and staggering to say the least.

But did you know we have a spiritual strength that is perfect, even when we are completely weak?

The great Hymn Writer Fanny Crosby said: “If I had not lost my sight, I could never have written all the hymns that God had given me.” One of the key words in this statement is “given”. Please notice Fanny Crosby acknowledging that these amazing, brilliant hymns, were “given” to her – from God! This gift was a beautiful expression of the Lord’s Love and Promise in her life.

Jesus said:

“For My Strength is made perfect in weakness.’ [2nd Corinthians 12:9]

Simply put, this is true, this is powerful, and this is for anyone who will believe it and receive it. And, this has been, is now, and will always be – FREE! There is nothing that God has for us that ‘does not’ work. Thank God! No one, and nothing else can offer that reality.

Whether we feel, or know, that our weakness is mental, physical, relational, financial, situational, or spiritual, etc., the truth is – we have no weakness – in God’s strength. Whatever your situation, you can be absolutely sure that God has some powerful and amazing ‘Hymns’ to write in and through your life.
