Many people have asked the question, “Why does God allow suffering?’ or, “Why does God allow evil?”

I’ve seen over the years that for many, this is just an unconscious attempt to keep God out of their hearts. For others, this is a very conscious attempt to try and cast aspersions and false accusations against the God who loves us all so much, that He sent His only begotten Son to die for our sins and redeem our lives from the ever-present reality of hell, death, and the grave.

The truth is, the closer God gets to our hearts, the more our hearts are disturbed -Not by the condition of the world around us, but by the condition of our own inward lives. We just point at the external realities to hide, mask, or justify the chaos taking place within ‘us’! The unrest within us, is the quest and desperate need for truth, yet, we are actually ‘fighting’ the truth – and His name is Jesus.

But once we finally let God’s love and word flow into our lives, the questions and struggles of the heart become clear.

God doesn’t mind the questions, the question is, will we accept – the answers?
