‘Something To Think About’ B101.5FM Radio Message 5/9/16

I recently received a picture of three very close friends who had the most awesome smiles from ear to ear. I told them I saw the Joy of the Lord in their photo. The main reason I made this comment is because I know the very heavy and very difficult daily work they do, for God and for others in the realm of full time ministry.

And yet, in the midst of all they do, and the long hours and sometimes major hardship that comes with it, I was thankful for those big beautiful smiles. I knew inwardly that they were not doing the work out of their own ambitions, or to be seen of men, but they truly had a burden to both honor and serve the Lord in their calling. This was the primary reason behind the supernatural assistance and strength that was so wonderfully manifested in their smiles.

It is so true: ‘The joy of the Lord is your strength.’ [Nehemiah 8:10]

Is there anything in your life so heavy that it has stolen your smile? Maybe it’s time to have a long talk with the Lord, and ask Him to guide your steps and direct your path. After all, why let this world or the cares of this life choke the joy and peace out of your life? And if by chance you have not had that real inner joy and peace to begin with, then most certainly you will only find it in God.

Inwardly, most people know this, they just have a difficult time coming to terms with it. But there’s no use struggling with yourself, other people, or anything else at the expense of your own ability to tap into the divine graces of almighty God. Look up to heaven today, that is where you will find that wonderful smile that used to so easily grace your heart and your face. Let God deal with whatever it is or was, that has stolen it from you. Place your trust in Him, He knows exactly what to do.
