‘Something To Think About’ B101.5FM Radio Message – 3/27/16

It’s Easter Morning! This is the day we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord from the dead. Yesterday, I shared with you, that there is no circumstance, or power that could ever force God to break His promises. That unchanging reality was shown in a mighty way in the Resurrection. Jesus made a promise. He said that after He was crucified, He would come back from the dead in three days – and He did! Not even death had, or has the power to keep God from keeping His promises.

On this glorious day, take some time to reflect on the shear joy, strength, and confidence that we can have in our lives as we place our full faith and trust in Jesus. No power can hold Him down. No power can keep Him in the grave. No power can keep Him from loving us. No power can keep Him from helping us with His divine power, and no power can keep Him from coming back for us. All of these things are promises that He has made to us, and if death could not force Him to break His promise, then nothing else ever could, or ever will.

You may be facing certain trials or circumstances in your life that are trying to lure your heart into a place of despair and doubt. In those moments, remember the power of the resurrection of Jesus. He has destroyed the power of death, hell and the grave, and He will destroy every power threatening your life, family, and future. And He shed His blood on the cross in order to give you the right to have, believe in, and reap the benefit of, His mighty promises.

Simply put, you can be perfectly, completely, and absolutely sure that He will keep all of His promises to you. Always remember, God’s promises are not found in ideology, well wishing, or religious leanings. All of God’s promises are found, performed, secured, maintained, upheld, and kept – in Christ Himself.

‘For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. Therefore also through Him is our Amen to the Glory of God.’ [2nd Corinthians 1:20]
