Flattery:

One of the definitions of flattery is: Excessive and insincere praise!

Have you ever been in a conversation with someone and you know that you are being flattered in this way? It is difficult being in relationships when you know the person is not being real with you.

Two very important things:

First, please don’t get angry or upset with the person. That’s not good for you or your heart.

Second, for better or worse, try and understand that this person has a need. You don’t have to be pulled into their flattery, but, you can ask God to give you the wisdom to help guide them into a more genuine and sincere approach to relationships.

Even those who flatter – matter.
