When I was a little kid, I was raised by my grandmother.  One word she used to use on me that was the hardest of all to hear, was patience. She would say, “David, have patience.”

As tough as it was to hear, I found out later in life that she was right. Many times in our Christian faith, it is those things that are the hardest to hear that prove to be of the greatest worth and value in our lives.

They say that patience is a virtue, and that is true – because actually, the bible tells us it is a “fruit” of the Holy Spirit. {See Galatians 5:22-23}

One thing concerning the principle and blessing of having patience that is absolutely imperative to know and acknowledge is that – Patience originated with God. So if you’re in need of some patience – ask God for it today, He won’t let you down. It won’t always be easy, but you will very quickly learn that patience – pays off.
