It is so important that you realize that every good, decent, loving, kind, and positive thing that you say and do, has an impact far wider and deeper than you can ever imagine. It is also massively important that you never stop doing good because you feel you’re not seeing results, being appreciated, or making a difference.

Mother Teresa said: “I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.”

There are many great blessings taking place in the world because of the good things you’ve already done for others. You may not see it, but the ripples continue. With that being the case, why stop now? But do you believe it?! Do you really believe that you are making a difference? I pray you will – because you are! God’s word teaches us:

“All things work together for good for those who love God.”

I know it is a difficult thing to fully comprehend all that God does with the simple Casting of “…a stone across the water…” Yet, as we realize that it is God Himself who sees all that we are doing, and, that it is God Himself who sees to it that our ripples will have continual and widespread impact, then we can also begin to realize that every effort is more than worth the time and effort put in, because it is God who is working in and through all that we are doing to be a blessing to others. However, it is equally important to always do all that we do as unto the Lord, and not for recognition, reciprocation, or reward. The truth is, many people will not appreciate the sacrifice, or the effort that you are making in their behalf. If your looking for the approval or recognition of others, you will more often than not be disappointed.

Paul said: “If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ…for am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God?” (Galatians 1:10).

If God has given you opportunity, desire, and a willingness to be a blessing to others, keep doing it and trust the results, the impact and the conclusions, with him. He is the lord, and His reward is with Him. One day, God will show you in fullness, the impact of your love, servant-hood and generosity toward others. But never hold back because you can’t see the things you think you need to see. Always remember, God sees all things and nothing is hidden from Him.
