Jesus lifts us up.

‘Something To Think About’ B101.5FM Radio Message – 3/3/16

Have you ever heard of the saying, “Just pull yourself up by your boot straps and get back in there?” That may work for many situations, and that’s a good thing. But there are times when we are hit so hard by certain things in this life, we just can’t pick ourselves up in our own strength.

If that sounds familiar. God has made us a powerful promise in His Word:

He said: I am the lord your God, and I will lift you up with my righteous right hand.”

One of the most amazing things about the Lord is His immediate willingness to help us in times of difficulty, distress and hardship. If more people were aware of God’s love and compassionate concern for us, they would reject the voices of atheism and mockery, and embrace God’s tender heart. After all, how has a person insulting, denying, and mocking the Lord ever helped you out of a terrible or difficult situation? When have they ever come in and rescued you or lifted you up out of something horrible and set your feet on a place of stability and relief?! Answer – NEVER!

God does not leave us to the popular sayings and motivational rhetoric of the day Click To Tweet

God does not leave us to the popular sayings and motivational rhetoric of the day. He immediately sees when we are in trouble – and in need of Him – and He avails Himself to help us – every single time. Open your heart to Him, and let God, be God in your life. What does that mean? It means you are letting perfect love and perfect power into your life, to help you, guide you and lead you in the way that is best for you.

If you don’t own any boots with ‘Boot straps’ and you recognize that you are in need of something much greater than anything this world has to offer, then call upon Him, and let His Promises and un-paralleled power begin to operate in your life. Read again His promise up above, because in this very moment – that’s a promise you can make your own – right now.
