‘Something To Think About’ B101.5FM Radio Message – 1/20/16

Its a brand new Year. Some people feel a bit bolder, it’s winter time so some may feel a bit colder – while many just feel – a little older.

We’re all getting older. But age, seen rightly, is a blessing. It brings experience, memories, and amazing experiences. And sure, some new aches and pains. But it also brings knowing ‘what not to do’ – and that wisdom is priceless.

It has been said: ‘Age is an issue of mind over matter – If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter.’

But to many, many people – they do mind, and it does matter. I have met many folks over the years who treat and approach aging in varying different ways. Some are productive, and some are, to say the least, counter productive. Some have embraced a good diet, exercise, cool activities, and great time management, including tons of family time, who say they feel great. Sadly, others have turned to drugs, alcohol, affairs, etc., who say the older they get, the more miserable they feel. And then there are the fortunes lost, families broken, and savings slaughtered over the ‘Mid-Life Crisis’ issue.

The key to graceful aging, is aging with the Lord. Click To Tweet

The key to graceful aging, is aging with the Lord who is eternal. His word and His promises provide us with absolutely everything necessary to keep us strong, encouraged, inspired, and hopeful every step of the way. And no matter how old we get – God said: “Even to your old age I will be the same, and even to your greying years I will bear you.”

For me, my awesome family, the work of the Ministry, the blessing of music, and the promise of everlasting life with my Lord and loved ones in His kingdom, is a truth that keeps me young, as I grow old.

  1. I love The Lost Highway message to Slow Down!! Many times we react before we stop to think about what our actions will do, to ourselves as well as our family and friends!!!!! I know that I have to stop before I react in my emotions many times. I also like the radio spot and content below on Godsloveneverfails.com. Lord God help us to age gracefully in You! By slowing down and listening to what The Lord would have to say about something before reacting emotionally in anger or just moving Too fast and not hearing the mind of God ,I believe this will help us age gracefully in Him! God promised He would be the same even to our old age,Hallelujah! Thank you Dave for always speaking Gods word!!!!!
